Victoria Sponge
Ingredients
- 250 grams ½ lb butter
- 1½ cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- Vanilla essence
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsps baking powder
- Milk to mix
Instructions
- Cream butter & sugar, beat in eggs & essence. Sift in flour & baking powder, then mix to smooth consistency with small amount of milk. Bake large tin, 180ºC (350ºF) about 25-30 minutes.
