Hot Milk Fruit Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams ½ lb butter
  • 450 grams 1 lb flour
  • 250 grams ½ lb sugar
  • 750 grams 1½ lb mixed fruit
  • 2 tsps mixed spice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • 2 large cups of very hot milk

Instructions
 

  • Rub butter into flour. Mix in sugar, spice and salt. Add fruit & mix well. Dissolve soda in milk. Add milk & soda and blend. Bake in old square cake tin 1½ - 2 hours in moderate oven. Keep 3 days before cutting.

Notes

(Economical, big moist cake)
