- 5 Tbs sugar
- 2 Tbs golden syrup
- 1 tsp baking soda (Bicarbonate)
- Bring sugar & golden syrup to the boil slowly, stirring all the time. Simmer gently over very low heat, stirring occasionally for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda. Stir very quickly to combine but don't over-mix. Pour immediately into greased tin and leave to cool & harden. Don't fuss about smoothening it or it will stay soft & "airless".
