Cheese Biscuits

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 60 grams 2 oz butter -grated
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • pinch cayenne


  • Rub butter & cheese into dry ingredients (can use pastry blender); then add small amount of water to make dry dough. Fold over several times and roll out as for making puff pastry, trapping in the air. Cut into finger shapes & bake on a cold greased tray 10-12 minutes at 180ºC (350ºF). Put in air-tight container when cold.
