Apple John

  • 250 grams flour 8oz
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbs. butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • Stewed apples


  • Put stewed apples in greased dish. Make scone dough topping - sift flour & baking powder Rub in the butter, mix with milk to a soft dough. Roll out and place on top of hot apple. Bake at 190ºC (375ºF) until crust is browned.
