Mum's Bacon & Egg Pie

Ingredients
  

Pastry

  • 250 grams ½ lb flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 60 grams 2oz dripping
  • 60 grams 2oz butter

Filling

  • 6-8 eggs
  • chopped bacon
  • grated cheese
  • chopped chives
  • onion
  • tomatoes
  • any left-over cooked potato
  • peas
  • meat
  • sausage
  • Seasonings as desired

Instructions
 

Pastry

  • Grate dripping & butter into sifted dry ingredients. Use wire pastry blender to rub in the fat. Add a little milk to mix. Roll pastry and line pie dish.

Filling

  • Add filling into pie crust and bake 190ºC (375ºF) for 35-45 minutes.

Notes

Mum probably refers to Raewyn's mother.
