Large Chocolate Cake

Cook Time 45 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams ½ lb butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 dessert spoons golden syrup
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 4 Tbs cocoa
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter & sugar. Beat in eggs & golden syrup. Sift dry ingredients & add alternately with soda which has been dissolved in milk. Lastly add the baking powder & vanilla. Bake in 1 large or 2 medium lined tins, 180ºC (350ºF) for 45 minutes.
